Tak Enterprises Inc. has custom built and sold over 50 airboats.

Tak Enterprises Inc. has custom built and sold over 50 airboats. Our airboats, also called fan boats, are flat-bottomed punts powered by a propeller attached to a 2.2 Litre, four stroke Air Tak engine. The propeller is similar in shape and size to an airplane propeller and is covered by a large metal cage to protect occupants. The flat bottom allows the boat to navigate through various environments including shallow swamps and marshes, canals, frozen and thawed rivers and lakes. The driver sits low or high on a platform to improve visibility and steering is accomplished by swiveling vertical rudders positioned in the propeller wash in the rear of the airboat with some crabbing into the wind or current required.
