TAK II Overview

TAK is proud to introduce the new TAK II 40HP Airboat drive system.

  • The TAK II operates like an outboard motor, but doesn’t require a prop in the water.
  • The unit attaches on a 14’ or 16’ flat bottom jon boat transit - just like an outboard motor.
  • The unit steers just like an outboard motor. By using a tiller control, moving the control arm left or right turns the boat without relying on air rudders.
  • By moving the entire cage assembly, the TAK II gives more control at lower speeds and less overall weight.
  • This assembly can be mounted on any 14’ - 16’ boat that has a 2" thick transit plate.
  • The drive assembly can be purchased separately, or together with a boat, air drive, and trailer.
  • The drive unit comes with a two year guarantee on the motor and drive cage. (note: No warranty is provided on the prop)
